DriveHip
Terms & Conditions
Effective July 1, 2026
1. About DriveHip
DriveHip is a digital platform designed to facilitate the booking and management of private chauffeur services.
Transportation services booked through DriveHip are performed by professional independent chauffeurs, licensed transport operators, or other qualified transportation partners (“Chauffeur Partners”).
DriveHip facilitates the relationship between the customer and the Chauffeur Partner assigned to perform the transportation service. Unless expressly stated otherwise, DriveHip does not itself operate the vehicle used for the journey and does not act as the physical carrier.
2. Booking a Service
A booking is based on the information provided by the customer at the time of reservation, including the pickup and destination addresses, date and time, number of passengers, selected vehicle category, and any additional requirements.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that all information submitted is complete and accurate.
Once a booking has been confirmed, any requested change may be subject to availability and may result in a price adjustment where the nature, duration, or conditions of the service are materially changed.
DriveHip reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking where the requested service cannot reasonably or lawfully be fulfilled.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are expected to use DriveHip and its services responsibly and respectfully.
In particular, the customer must:
- Provide accurate booking and contact information
- Be available at the agreed pickup location at the scheduled time
- Provide correct passenger and luggage information where relevant
- Comply with applicable laws and reasonable safety instructions
- Treat chauffeurs, passengers, and third parties with courtesy and respect
- Refrain from carrying prohibited, dangerous, or unlawful items
Where special requirements apply, including child seats, oversized luggage, or other specific transportation needs, these should be communicated during the booking process whenever possible.
4. Chauffeur Standards
DriveHip expects Chauffeur Partners performing services through the platform to operate to professional standards appropriate to private chauffeur transportation.
Chauffeur Partners are expected to:
- Hold all licences, permits, and authorisations required for the service performed
- Operate vehicles that are appropriately maintained, insured, clean, and roadworthy
- Arrive at the agreed pickup location punctually, subject to traffic and circumstances beyond reasonable control
- Provide the service professionally, safely, and courteously
- Comply with applicable transport, road safety, and passenger regulations
The vehicle supplied may differ from images or examples displayed on the platform, but should be of the booked category or an appropriate equivalent or higher category where substitution is necessary.
5. Prices and Payment
The applicable price is displayed during the booking process before payment or confirmation.
Prices may depend on factors including the journey, distance, duration, vehicle category, pickup conditions, additional services, tolls, or other characteristics of the requested transportation.
Unless expressly indicated otherwise during booking, the confirmed price includes the standard charges applicable to the service.
Additional charges may apply where the customer requests a material change after confirmation, extends the service, adds unscheduled stops, or incurs costs that were not reasonably included in the original booking.
Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers. DriveHip does not require customers to disclose payment card details directly to Chauffeur Partners.
6. Cancellations, Refunds, and No-Shows
Cancellation and refund conditions applicable to a booking are governed by the Cancellation & Refund Policy available through DriveHip.
Any applicable cancellation deadline is calculated with reference to the scheduled pickup time.
Where a customer fails to attend the agreed pickup location and cannot be reached within the applicable waiting period, the booking may be classified as a no-show and may not be eligible for a refund.
Where DriveHip or the assigned Chauffeur Partner is unable to perform a confirmed service and no suitable replacement can be arranged, any refund due will be handled in accordance with the applicable Cancellation & Refund Policy.
7. Waiting Time and Delays
Reasonable waiting conditions may vary depending on the type of pickup, including airports, railway stations, and private addresses.
For airport services, flight information supplied by the customer may be used to monitor the scheduled or actual arrival of the flight and coordinate the pickup accordingly. Customers remain responsible for providing accurate flight details.
Traffic conditions, road closures, weather, border controls, public events, and other circumstances outside reasonable control may affect journey or arrival times. Estimated travel times should therefore not be interpreted as guarantees.
8. Passenger and Luggage Requirements
The customer is responsible for selecting a vehicle suitable for the number of passengers and the amount and dimensions of luggage being transported.
A Chauffeur Partner may refuse to transport passengers or luggage where doing so would exceed the legal or safe capacity of the vehicle.
The transportation of dangerous, unlawful, or prohibited goods is not permitted.
9. Safety and Conduct
The safety and comfort of customers and Chauffeur Partners are fundamental to the DriveHip service.
DriveHip may refuse, suspend, or terminate access to the platform where a customer or Chauffeur Partner engages in threatening, abusive, discriminatory, fraudulent, unlawful, or unsafe conduct.
A chauffeur may refuse to begin or continue a journey where a passenger's conduct creates a genuine safety risk, violates applicable law, or could materially damage the vehicle.
10. Independent Chauffeur Partners
Chauffeur Partners operate as independent transportation providers and are responsible for maintaining the licences, insurance, permits, and other authorisations required by applicable law.
DriveHip may select, coordinate, and support Chauffeur Partners in connection with a booking, but this does not create an employment relationship between DriveHip and an independent Chauffeur Partner.
11. Events Beyond Reasonable Control
DriveHip cannot guarantee that every journey will be unaffected by circumstances outside reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include severe traffic disruption, road closures, accidents, extreme weather, strikes, public demonstrations, security restrictions, government measures, border delays, flight disruption, or other exceptional events.
Where reasonably possible, DriveHip and the Chauffeur Partner will seek to minimise disruption and complete the service appropriately.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, DriveHip shall not be liable for losses arising solely from circumstances outside its reasonable control or from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer.
DriveHip is not responsible for personal belongings left in a vehicle. Where an item is reported as lost, reasonable efforts may be made to assist the customer in contacting the relevant Chauffeur Partner.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
13. Platform Access
DriveHip may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to an account or to the platform where reasonably necessary because of:
- Fraud or suspected fraudulent activity
- Misuse of the platform or payment services
- Serious or repeated breaches of these Terms
- Abusive or unsafe conduct
- Legal or regulatory requirements
- Activity that may compromise the security or integrity of DriveHip or its users
14. Privacy
Personal information is processed in accordance with the DriveHip Privacy Policy.
Information necessary to perform a booking may be shared with the Chauffeur Partner and service providers involved in fulfilling that booking.
15. Changes to These Terms
DriveHip may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the platform, services, operational requirements, or applicable law.
The version applicable to a booking is the version in effect at the relevant time, subject to any mandatory rights provided by applicable law.
The effective date and current version are displayed with the published document.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the law applicable to the entity operating DriveHip, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights or protections that may apply under the laws of the customer's country of residence.
Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction established by applicable law and the legal information published by DriveHip.
