DriveHip
Cookie Policy
Effective August 14, 2026
1. About This Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how DriveHip uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies when you visit or use the DriveHip website and booking platform.
DriveHip currently uses these technologies primarily to operate the website, remember user preferences, support authentication and booking functionality, maintain payment-session continuity, and provide essential platform features.
This Policy should be read together with the DriveHip Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how personal data is collected, used, shared, and protected.
2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small data files stored by a website in your browser. They can be used to maintain essential website functionality, remember preferences, preserve session information, and support secure interactions between your browser and the platform.
DriveHip may also use browser technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage. These technologies are not cookies, but they can store information on your device for similar functional purposes.
3. Technologies Currently Used by DriveHip
Based on the current operation of the DriveHip platform, the following cookies and browser-storage technologies may be used.

Type: functional preference cookie.
Duration: up to approximately 12 months.
Cookie Notice Status
dh_cookie_consent
Purpose: records that the user has acknowledged the DriveHip cookie notice so that the notice does not need to be displayed repeatedly.

Authentication and Account Functionality
Where a user signs in or uses account-related functionality, DriveHip may store authentication information necessary to maintain the authenticated experience and provide account features.
This information is used for functional and security purposes and is not used by DriveHip for advertising or behavioural profiling.
Booking and Journey Information
DriveHip may use localStorage or sessionStorage to temporarily preserve information required during the booking process. This may include journey information, booking progress, selected vehicle preferences, recent locations, booking snapshots, contact information entered during the booking flow, and payment-session information.
These technologies help prevent the loss of information when moving between booking steps and support continuity if a page is refreshed or revisited.
4. Payment Services
DriveHip uses Stripe as a third-party payment service provider to process online payments securely.
When a customer reaches the payment stage, Stripe technologies may be loaded and Stripe may use cookies, browser storage, or other technical mechanisms necessary for payment processing, fraud prevention, security, and the operation of its payment services.
Payment card information is handled through Stripe's payment infrastructure. DriveHip does not require customers to provide their complete payment card details directly to Chauffeur Partners.
Stripe's own processing of personal data and use of cookies or similar technologies is governed by Stripe's applicable privacy and cookie documentation.
5. Analytics and Advertising Cookies
DriveHip does not currently use advertising cookies or behavioural advertising technologies on its public website.
DriveHip also does not currently deploy Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or similar analytics and behavioural tracking technologies as part of the public website experience.
If DriveHip introduces analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking technologies in the future, this Cookie Policy and, where required, the cookie consent mechanism will be updated before or when those technologies are introduced.
6. Essential and Functional Technologies
The technologies currently used directly by DriveHip are intended primarily to provide functionality requested by the user or necessary for the operation of the platform.
They may be required to:
- Remember the selected language and currency
- Maintain account and authentication functionality
- Preserve booking information between steps
- Maintain payment-session continuity
- Remember that the cookie notice has already been acknowledged
- Support security and reliable operation of the platform
Because these technologies support the operation or requested functionality of the service, disabling them through browser settings may cause parts of DriveHip to work incorrectly or become unavailable.
7. Managing Cookies and Browser Storage
Most browsers allow users to view, block, or delete cookies through their browser settings. Browsers may also provide controls for clearing website data stored through localStorage and similar technologies.
Blocking or deleting functional website data may reset preferences such as language or currency and may interrupt an active booking, account session, or payment process.
The exact controls available depend on the browser and device being used.
8. Third-Party Services
Certain DriveHip features may involve third-party service providers necessary to deliver the requested service. These providers may process technical information according to their own privacy and cookie practices.
The presence of a third-party service provider does not mean that DriveHip uses that provider for advertising or behavioural tracking. Third-party technologies are used only where relevant to the functionality being provided.
9. Changes to This Cookie Policy
DriveHip may update this Cookie Policy when the website, booking platform, technologies used, service providers, or applicable legal requirements change.
Where a material change affects how cookies or similar technologies are used, the published Policy will be updated accordingly and, where required by applicable law, appropriate consent controls will be introduced or updated.
The effective date and current version are displayed with the published document.
