This may include pickup and destination locations, scheduled pickup time, passenger details, vehicle requirements, contact information, booking references, flight information, and other instructions relevant to the journey.
Where necessary to fulfil a booking, relevant information is made available to the Chauffeur Partner assigned to the service. We limit this information to what is reasonably necessary to coordinate and perform the journey.
4. Flight Information and Service Monitoring
For airport transfers, DriveHip may process flight numbers and related flight information in order to monitor arrival or departure times, identify delays or schedule changes, and coordinate the chauffeur pickup.
Flight status information may be obtained through specialised aviation data providers or other service providers used to support the booking.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate flight information when requesting this functionality.
5. Payment Information
Payments made through DriveHip are processed using specialised third-party payment service providers.
DriveHip may process or retain information associated with a payment, such as transaction identifiers, payment status, amount, currency, booking reference, and limited payment-related metadata necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, refunds, dispute management, and customer support.
Full payment card details are handled by the relevant payment provider and are not intended to be stored directly by DriveHip.
6. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information where reasonably necessary to operate DriveHip and provide the services requested by our customers.

7. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, or comparable legislation applies, we process personal information only where an appropriate legal basis exists.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- Performance of a contract — where processing is necessary to provide a booking or another service you requested
- Steps prior to entering into a contract — where you request a quote, booking, or information about our services
- Legal obligations — where processing or retention is required by tax, accounting, regulatory, judicial, or other applicable legal requirements

- Consent — where applicable law requires your consent for a particular processing activity
- Vital interests — in exceptional circumstances where processing is necessary to protect the life or physical safety of a person
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
8. When We Share Personal Information
DriveHip does not disclose personal information indiscriminately. Information may be shared where necessary to provide the requested service, operate the platform, meet legal obligations, or protect legitimate interests.
Recipients may include:

- Professional advisers, including accountants, auditors, insurers, and legal advisers, where reasonably necessary
- Public authorities or law enforcement where disclosure is required by applicable law or a valid legal request
Service providers acting on our behalf are expected to process personal information only for the relevant purpose and subject to appropriate contractual, confidentiality, and security obligations where required by law.
9. Independent Chauffeur Partners
To perform a confirmed journey, DriveHip must provide the assigned Chauffeur Partner with information reasonably necessary to identify the booking, locate and contact the passenger, and perform the requested transportation service.
Depending on the booking, this may include the passenger's name, telephone number, pickup and destination details, scheduled time, flight information, and relevant service instructions.
Chauffeur Partners are expected to use this information only for legitimate purposes connected with the transportation service and their applicable legal obligations.
10. International Data Transfers
DriveHip may use service providers or Chauffeur Partners located in countries other than the country in which you reside. As a result, personal information may be processed internationally where necessary to operate the platform or perform a requested service.
Where applicable data protection law requires specific safeguards for international transfers, DriveHip will use appropriate legal mechanisms designed to protect personal information, which may include adequacy decisions, contractual safeguards, or other recognised transfer mechanisms.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
DriveHip uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies primarily to operate the website and platform, remember certain preferences, support authentication and account functionality, maintain booking and payment-session continuity, and contribute to the security and reliability of the service.
DriveHip does not currently use advertising cookies or behavioural advertising technologies on its public website and does not currently use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or similar behavioural analytics and tracking technologies as part of the public website experience.
You can manage or delete cookies and similar browser storage through your browser or device settings. Disabling essential or functional technologies may affect the operation of certain DriveHip features.
If DriveHip introduces analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking technologies in the future, this Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and, where required by applicable law, appropriate consent-management mechanisms will be updated accordingly.
Further information about the technologies currently used by DriveHip is available in our Cookie Policy.
12. Communications
DriveHip may send transactional and service-related communications necessary to manage your account or booking. These may include account verification, password or security messages, booking confirmations, payment information, journey updates, service notifications, and customer support communications.
These operational communications are different from optional promotional marketing.
Where DriveHip sends marketing communications requiring consent or providing an opt-out right, you may withdraw your consent or unsubscribe using the mechanism provided in the communication or by contacting us.
13. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing services, maintaining transaction and booking records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and satisfying legal, accounting, taxation, and regulatory obligations.
Retention periods may therefore differ depending on the type of information and the reason it is processed.
When personal information is no longer required, it may be deleted, anonymised, or securely isolated until deletion is technically possible, subject to applicable legal requirements.
14. Data Security
DriveHip applies reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
These measures may include access controls, authentication mechanisms, encrypted communications, system monitoring, restricted administrative access, and other safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information processed.
No internet-based service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore continuously seek to maintain safeguards appropriate to the risks associated with our services.
15. Children's Privacy
DriveHip is not intended to enable minors to independently create contractual bookings where they do not have the legal capacity to do so.
A minor may travel as a passenger where the booking has been appropriately made or authorised by a parent, guardian, or other responsible person and where the transportation complies with applicable law.
We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children for marketing purposes.

17. United States Privacy Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under applicable state law. Depending on the jurisdiction and whether the relevant law applies to DriveHip, these may include rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information, as well as rights concerning certain forms of targeted advertising, profiling, sale, or sharing of personal information.
DriveHip will evaluate verified privacy requests in accordance with the law applicable to the individual and the relevant processing activity.
Where applicable, you may also appoint an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to reasonable verification of the agent's authority and your identity.
DriveHip will not unlawfully discriminate against an individual for exercising an applicable privacy right.
18. Sale of Personal Information
DriveHip does not sell personal information in exchange for monetary consideration.
If our use of advertising, analytics, or other technologies in the future constitutes a “sale”, “sharing”, or targeted advertising under an applicable privacy law, we will provide any notices and opt-out mechanisms required by that law.
19. Exercising Your Rights
To exercise an applicable privacy right or ask a question concerning your personal information, contact:

We will respond to valid requests within the time required by applicable law.
20. Account Closure and Data Deletion
You may request closure of your DriveHip account and, where applicable, deletion of associated personal information.
Closing an account does not necessarily require DriveHip to delete every record immediately. Certain booking, payment, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legal records may need to be retained where permitted or required by applicable law.
Information that must be retained will no longer be used for unrelated purposes and will remain subject to appropriate safeguards.
21. Changes to This Privacy Policy
DriveHip may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, technology, business operations, service providers, or applicable legal requirements.
